“Women Who Transform” Sumaq Justice Project in Peru

The United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) has launched the “Women Who Transform” Sumaq Justice Project in Lima East.
Support a social and innovative initiative being implemented in the province of Huarochirí or in the districts of Cieneguilla or Lurigancho-Chosica in the province of Lima, which make up the judicial district of Lima East, and which is aimed at strengthening female leadership linked to the prevention and response to violence against women and family members in rural areas, in order to enhance its processes, make its relevant actors visible, and contribute to its sustainability by promoting coordination with the justice of the peace.
Prize Information
UNDP will support 1 winning initiative that will have the amount of $2,000.00 (Two Thousand Dollars) each, which will be used only to finance the proposal.
In addition, the winning group or organization will receive technical assistance from the UNDP's Sumaq Justice project to improve its processes and results.
As a final contribution, UNDP will carry out communications activities on its institutional channels and in the press to raise awareness of the winning initiative.
Eligibility
Women's groups or organizations at the regional, provincial, district or communal level:
They must have prior experience in strengthening women's leadership and combating violence against women and family members in rural areas.
Those interested in developing or strengthening, over a four-month period, an initiative linked to their work, aimed at preventing or improving the treatment of violence against women and family members in rural areas, promoting coordination with the justice of the peace.
The winning group or organization must consent to photographic and audiovisual recording of their initiative in order to make it visible.
Participate in support sessions with the Sumaq Justicia technical team is mandatory for the transfer of the prize.
The winning group or organization agrees to participate in audit meetings conducted by UNDP to verify effective compliance with expenditures.
The allocated budget amount must be used entirely and solely for expenses related to the implementation of the initiative
