About

The United Nations International Children's Emergency Fund is seeking applications to Indonesia’s support for Adolescents Education and Empowerment through Skills Development.

The programme is designed to accommodate relevant learning needs of disadvantaged adolescent groups with special attention to address barriers of adolescent girls and adolescents with disabilities for participating in learning and skills development activities. The programme will be delivered in an inclusive manner. Coordination and consultation in programme planning and implementation will be done with relevant sections in UNICEF.

Expected Results
  • The expected results of the partnership are described below: 

    • District Education Offices in Pekalongan, Rembang and Klaten have improved capacity to develop action plan/strategy to improve education service delivery in NFE. 

      • The output will be reached through the following activities: 

        • Conduct series of workshop to improve capacity of key stakeholders in order to develop action plans/strategies of education service delivery in NFE. 

    • Adolescents, with a focus on girls and boys in non-formal education have increased knowledge and skills on 21st century and digital skills that enable them to create solutions for issues affecting them. 

      • The output will be reached through the following activities:

        • Conduct teacher training for at least 60 non-formal education teachers. 

        • Conducting intensive 21st century, digital and entrepreneurial skills development activities for around 1000 adolescents (at least 50% girls) through curriculum integration and digital platforms to increase their capacity in basic problem-solving skills.

        • Support and facilitate the development of a minimum 10 prototypes of adolescents’ innovative solution ideas.
