Call for Applications: Eco Future Grant Programme in Turkey
About
The United Nations Development Programme is accepting applications for Eco Future Grant Programme which aim to enhance the impact of civil society organizations (CSOs) in addressing climate change and biodiversity protection.
The programme will provide CSOs with resources and expertise to develop innovative projects focused on climate change mitigation, biodiversity conservation, and nature-based solutions to enhance climate resilience.
Priority Areas
The priority areas of the grant programme are defined as follows:
Priority 1: Improve the capacity of NGOs to intervene and remediate on biodiversity and make cities and society resilient.
Priority 2: Build the capacity and resilience of populations and economic sectors vulnerable to the impacts of climate change through climate change mitigation and adaptation actions and support low-carbon and climate-resilient development.
Priority 3: Communication strategies to strengthen cooperation between NGOs and actors engaged in climate change and biodiversity, encourage the use of new technologies and knowledge, and strengthen the capacities of existing NGO centers.
Funding Information
The approximate total amount allocated to the grant programme under this call for proposals is $2,361,261.68.
The grant programme will follow a two-stage application process, providing funding ranging from USD 50,000 to 150,000 for selected projects.
The planned implementation period of the proposed project cannot be less than 12 months or more than 18 months under this grant programme.
Eligibility
Have a legal personality, and
Non-profit
To be a Non-Governmental Organization (NGO) (association, foundation, federation/confederation, non-profit cooperative) and
To be established in accordance with the civil society legislation in Türkiye/to have their headquarters in Türkiye,
It must not be established to support public institutions and organizations, public services or personnel,
Must be directly responsible for the preparation and management of the action with the partner(s) and affiliated entity(ies), not acting as an intermediary
In addition to the categories under applicants, the following are also eligible:
International NGOs, particularly those based in the EU
Municipalities and local governing bodies
Development agencies
Unions (producer, professional and central associations, etc.).
Chambers – industrial and professional chambers
Public schools
